Every business needs a visual identity: a logo, a colour palette, fonts, and templates. Most small businesses either have nothing or have something inconsistent that was designed 10 years ago. Canva AI lets you build a complete, professional brand identity kit in an afternoon.

What a Brand Identity Kit Contains

  • Logo (primary version, horizontal version, icon-only version)
  • Colour palette (primary colour, secondary colour, accent, background, text)
  • Typography (heading font, body font, sizes for each use case)
  • 5 social media post templates (Instagram, Facebook)
  • 2 story templates
  • Business card design
  • Brand style guide (one page summarising everything)

Step 1: Research the Business

Before opening Canva, spend 20 minutes researching the business. What industry are they in? Who are their customers? What 3 words should their brand feel like? Look at their competitors. Look at brands they admire.

Step 2: Generate Logo Concepts with Magic Design

Open Canva, click Create a Design, choose Logo. Type the business name and a one-line description. Use Magic Design to generate 8 to 10 initial concepts. Pick the 3 strongest directions and refine each one.

Step 3: Build the Colour Palette

Use Canva colour palette generator or an AI tool like Coolors. Feed in the logo colours and generate 5 coordinated shades. Name them: Primary, Secondary, Accent, Light Background, Dark Text.

Step 4: Choose Typography

Pick one bold font for headings and one clean font for body text. Pair a geometric sans for headings with a humanist sans for body text. Test them in both large and small sizes before committing.

Step 5: Create Social Templates

Build 5 post templates using the logo, colours, and fonts you have established. Each template should work with a different content type: a quote, a product photo, a promotion, a tip, and a testimonial.

Delivering to the Client

Export everything as a single PDF brand guide plus all editable Canva links. Share access to the Canva folder. The client can edit their own templates forever. Your work is done, your invoice is sent.

What to Charge

  • Logo only: Rs.1,500 to Rs.5,000
  • Logo plus colour palette plus fonts: Rs.3,000 to Rs.8,000
  • Full brand identity kit with templates: Rs.5,000 to Rs.25,000
